    Ducati 748R Resto (DONE!)

My favorite bike that I've owned over the years was a 2001 Ducati 748R. When I first got it, I didn't really like it that much, but once I had learnt to ride it, there was nothing better. I'm always on the lookout for cool and interesting bikes, so when this 2003 Anniversary Edition bike came...

    Honda NSR250 MC28 Restoration/Special

The rear shock needed replacement. Picked up a nice Ohlins which Ive refurbished. And got this second hand CNC cut top tripple clamp.

    '87 Honda NSR250 'ELF Special'

Re: NSR250 revival The two pics are different angles, so not accurate at all, but I think it's safe to say the angles are different on a 16 and a 21... As Teaser says, if you're handy with a welder, making up a new sub frame, or modifying the existing one is a fairly straight forward...

    '87 Honda NSR250 'ELF Special'

Re: NSR250 revival Actually Moa, I have a spare seat like the one in the picture... if you want it you can have it. Perhaps when Mario posts your crank, he can package it in. Not sure how much the packaging to NZ will cost though? Its light, but it takes up space, the crank could easily fit...

    '87 Honda NSR250 'ELF Special'

Re: NSR250 revival For what its worth, on my MC21 track bike, I cut my subframe down to the bare bones. I made up an aluminium tray, which fitted between the two frame rails and relocated the electrics onto it. I also cut down the plastic battery box to what was only required... Its still...

    '87 Honda NSR250 'ELF Special'

Re: NSR250 revival Oh, and I'm with you on the ELF scheme... you'll see once its in the flesh, it won't come across as "conservative" at all...

    '87 Honda NSR250 'ELF Special'

Re: NSR250 revival WRT the rear seat discussion. I was under the impression that you liked the retro body? If you're going to go the updated look, the cool thing with the Tyga kits is that you get a new lightweight bolt on sub frame. I updated my MC28 with the Tyga kit. It also relocated the...

    '87 Honda NSR250 'ELF Special'

Re: NSR250 revival Hey Moa, just caught up on your thread. Looking rad! Those calipers are unique to the MC16. The Nissins on the 18s are different, and the 21's got a different set as well. Radiator and shock are also different to other models. Seems the components got changed with each...

1978 Moto Guzzi V50 MkI build

The V50 definitely has a MUCH narrower engine than a LeMans for example, but I suspect the foreshortening on the camera is giving the impression than its appearing narrower than it actually is... From the front shot at least...

1979 Moto Guzzi V50 II Cafe

Re: Moto Guzzi V50 II Cafe Guys, thanks for the great feedback. crazypj, my initial concern was also the heat issue. But secondly, I'm thinking its also not smart to have the filter exposed like this, as any kind of moisture getting in there (the filter would be clamped from both sides and...

1979 Moto Guzzi V50 II Cafe

Re: Moto Guzzi V50 II Cafe Sure v-pilot, the original chrome finish on the levers stands out a bit too much for me. Hi Kanten - I modified both the peg as well as the mounting brackets on the rails slightly... A small amount of grinding off both, being careful to get the angle of the cuts...
