hmm. i like that idea. some 3/8 pex tubing would probably be easiest to lay into the glass. getting the trapped air out between the glass and the outside of the tube might be time consuming. the final result would be worth it though. you could glass in a threaded end on the pex as well that...
Re: broke ass slo bike build CM400t prepping for exhaust
i got my supertrapp in the mail. i believe its a brushed aluminum s/c with a 2" inlet and 4" disc outlet. it only came with 7 or 8 discs, but 90% off retail speaks to me. at ~7hp/disc i think i'll have more than enough.
so to get ready...

i could be wrong, but it shouldn't matter how many cylinders since it only detects the firing on one cylinder. what's important is 2-stroke vs. 4, since any given cylinder fires twice as often per rotation on a two-stroke. feel free to teach me...

i rerouted mine with clubmans without binding issues.
as far as adding a tach goes, i was thinking about loosing mine and going with an electronic tach to slim down my dashboard. haven't decided what i'll do yet as i'd kinda like to go...

thanks for putting this together. is there a way to make this the top hit whenever cm400 or cb400t is searched? kind of like a sticky
that hoop really flows well. what a rad stance. i've been looking at air shocks too. not sure what length to get, but these might work for you. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170580071606&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
thanks PJ. i hope that helps the next person who searches, cuz i tore back into it last night. i can strip it down to the cylinders in about an hour and a half now. that tension mechanism is actually pretty clever. i'm going to go the hardware store today and see if i can find something to...
triumph does them on the right side. depends what you want to have easy access to work on.
if its just the megaphone you don't like, why not just get a different muffler?
i'm ordering parts 7,11, and 13. but i'll be opening it up tonight. am i asking for trouble if i match the old pieces to some OTS nuts, bolts, and washers to get it back on the road sooner?
glad i could help.
i just won a used supertrapp on ebay for about half of what they usually go for. it was listed as a ninja muffler, and the guy thought the baffle was sticking out too much. perhaps he is unfamiliar with the brand. picture from the listing
kinda figured that ;)
im wondering if i'm risking breaking something serious by riding it home from work today. and whether i'll need to replace my brand new headgasket when i crack it back open.
thanks
