Shhhhhhhhh!! Not mine, I actually just took strong influence from that design. But customized it so that it can fit my truck with the tailgate down. I respect them for what they have done, but $650 is a little steep for me. I built mine for labor hours and $40 in materials/ scraps from work...

I really appreciate you guys kicking my butt, but sadly, nothing to report. Good news is that I will be getting back to work again soon! Once work slows back down (show car season is almost over) I will have shop access again. Here is our latest creation...

In order to work on Penny I need to be able to get her to work so I can utilize the tools there. Instead of breaking her down piece by piece I decided to make a hitch mounted hydraulically assisted motorcycle carrier, here it is: This is REV A of the platform...I kind of over built it. It...

Nice PJ! I'm curious to see how that is going to turn out! I know what you mean Sonreir, but I think I would actually rather lower the front and raise the rear (a tiny bit) from an aesthestics stand point to give it an aggressive stance. I'd rather things pointed down and forward instead of up...

Thanks PJ! I appreciate it! Comparing these numbers to mine, the front wheel is only 1.5 inches back, not 3...but that is still considerable, and my swingarm is about an inch short. Definitely time to make a new swing arm and stretch this thing out to more normal proportions! This one should...

After a few too many comments about this bike looking squished I finally measured everything. Maybe it was my ignorance in not want to re-do things, but it looks like a longer swingarm is in order. My wheelbase currently is about 49 inches, which is about 4 inches short of stock. I think my...

All of the stuff for this project has been done in Solidworks. It is what I learned in school, but now in the automotive engineering world, we use Catia...Solidwork's bigger brother.

That makes sense. The rear swingarm is the same length as stock...I probably should have made it a little longer to compensate the forks. Right now the frame rail sits about 30 inches off the ground...not sure how that compares to stock. That is also with the super stiff R1 spring. With the...

You dont even know what it is going to look like, but you want one!?!! Do I take that as a compliment??

Yeah, I think its a combination of the big front wheel, and it sitting high up. I'm hoping to bring it down (vertically) all together and that should help "stretch" it out a little

Alright guys, I am opening up the table for some design input. I know that it might be difficult to do so with out seeing the whole bike, but here are a few shots of Penny. At my work, I have access to multiple 5-axis CNCs...some large enough to cut full size SUVs out of foam/ clay! My hope...

Thats awesome! We got rid of the turbo because it was keeping us from competing...too small of a budget and too small of a team to put resources in to developing that.

After a solid 5 months with out working on her, I was able to get back in the shop. I want to be able to steer at low speeds, so the lack of steering was an issue...here are the corrective measures: don't mind the jagged pieces inside the tank... found some 2.5" x .049 - 304 laying around...

My swingarm may appear to be longer than stock, but it is identically the same length. I wish I had lengthened it like an inch, mounted the shock would have been a whole lot easier...o well But yes, it will fit on a stock swingarm no problem.
