    Honda CB450N nitreous turbo

Hello all. Been a while. Just when I think I'm back in the thick of things, life gets in the way. I'm sure you're all familiar with this. Well, if nothing else, we keep on trucking. The bike I built is slowly coming back together. The bike is being modified for a return run back at Bonneville...

    Bums to Bonneville

Thanks much. I built a custom track and cart that travels at approx. 2 inches per minute. It's shot with a Canon 20D and a generic intervalometer I picked up from ebay. I've often wondered if I could hold a record for the slowest moving device on the Bonneville Salt flats. I'll post a picture of...

    Bums to Bonneville

The end of the road for my bike as a Cafe Racer. I need to belly up to the table to get it ready for Bonneville in 2013. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syY2NVfGShw

Modified Cafe for the salt flats.

Thanks. Which safety concerns? Hmm... probably all of them. Need a SNELL rated helmet, no steering dampers, no kill switch, et al. Lot's of guys/gals are declined every year. Plenty of folks just show up without reading the rule book thinking they can just give er. (like me). Usually the...

Modified Cafe for the salt flats.

Hey there. We were told (politely) by the SCTA to come back when we were race ready. We went down to Bonneville completely unprepared. We raced the bike anyway on a stretch of salt the ran along side the 8 mile track and opened it up. Our timing and my speedo indicated 95 mph. The carbs were set...

    Bums to Bonneville

Alright. Here's the first part of the flick from our trip. Bums to Bonneville part 1 of 4. About 13 minutes worth. It's low rez as it's a rough cut. Just looking for input. Cheers all. J http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IctuGq3ZhNc&list=UUmzEkJqsGkz-t3MUya5GFig&index=1&feature=plcp

Modified Cafe for the salt flats.

Been one hell of a winter. Funny how I thought I had a ton of time to get started on our return trip to Bonneville. Anyway, just a quick post to show the dream aint over till I say it's over. Picked up a 77 GS1000 for our project bike. Should start to tear it down in the next few weeks. Hope...

    Stolen Bike in Calgary

Happy to report that James had his bike returned in one piece today. The cops did a bust on some guys house and found it in his garage. I helped pick it up from the impound today and delivered it back to his friends shop. Yes Virginia, there really is a Santa Claus.

Thanks Clutch. It's been a a ton of fun. I was supposed to tear it apart to today but the weather outside is somewhat prohibitive. (I lack a garage) Stroker Crazy It will make more sense as the project evolves. We want to build a knee dragger similar to this one we found on the net. photo...

Modified Cafe for the salt flats.

So the Cafe is going to be torn down tomorrow and I think we may have found our second project bike. A early 80s Suzuki 1000cc. It was missing the tanks and seat and I can't recall what the guy said it was as I was too busy drooling all over the other bikes in his shop. (The Old Motorbike Shop)...

Modified Cafe for the salt flats.

Ha, no, there are bikes in here far better than anything I've built. I appreciate the sentiment though. This is more about the journey of the build, than the end product. The stories I can can tell and the stories that can be told after I'm gone are really what I'm after. The next few steps of...

Modified Cafe for the salt flats.

Thanks. I was supposed to get started last week but I ended up with bronchitis. Just getting over the last hump in the road then its go time. Sounds like we will be going down with two bikes. One will be the cafe that we took down last August, and the new bike will be a custom knee dragger. We...
