Did a bench sync on the carbs. The idle adjustment was seized - the butterflys were closed shut. I opened the butterflys just enough for a sliver of light to shine through and they were synced dead on as far as the paperclip test. I was really hoping for them to be way off but we'll see...

Excellent news! After purchasing a new harness and the help of Sonreir I finally solved my problem. The wires to my points were sitting in the wrong position. They were wrapped around the plastic looking washer that sits inbetween the metal band of the points to the bolts. An easy fix...
