Thanks for the reminder, Pat; I'm gonna try and make it there for sure!
(I'm hoping Mrs. Cookie has this weekend off so I can duck out of lil' girl's 10:30 dance class)
lol thanks, I'll try that..gravity is wierd up here though....
Seriously, every pic I post from my phone ends up flipped; it's odd. So I thought I'd be smart and flip my photo upside down before I post it. Wouldn't you know, it DIDN'T flip it! :o
Developed a fuel leak. Either petcock or carbs (or tank). SWMBO declared she isn't allowed back inside until I can guarantee the house won't smell like gas.
She looks so sad :( :'(
Make sure there's enough gas in it. I just had this exact issue on my 750; turned out to be not engfyel in the tank. Sometimes it's the little, simple things
SeanG over at cb750c.com sells a stainless, allen-head screw kit for our bikes; decently priced as well!
He also has a free to download, .PDF carb manual and tuning guide.
Not quite. Having it done with a gauge is a good idea; doing the bench sync is a ballpark starting point. If you dont want...
Nice you see you back in action, Kamn!!! 8) 8) 8)
If you want more bamboo for riser material (and possibly limbs...) I have a small pile of 70"×1 1/2" bamboo taking up space in my garage, as well as a cutting board-sized piece at the in-law's. Possibly some cherry, too from the first canoe...
Ugh. So many gremlins!
Something I thought of last night as well: clean your carbs. If they've been done already then clean your carbs!
Also, synchronizing them is a good idea. If you don't have a good sync tool, Here's a YouTube video for bench syncing them which should get them close...
The 1100 site is a bit troublesome...it took me a few tries efore it worked for me. As for cb750c.com, once you're signed in, you have access to download .PDF scans of the Honda Factory Service Manual and all of the FSM addenda (updates) for your specific sub-model and year. Very handy stuff...
I would choose to error on the side of caution and park it until your replacement tensioner bolt comes in. You can't know for sure if it's doing what you want on the inside, or if it'll stay in.
- Check and adjust valve clearances to .005".
- Fresh oil/filter can't hurt.
- May require new valve stem seals.
- Adjust your timing chain. There's a guy on the cb110f forum called 605brent; his company in New Zealand has developed the perfect replacement chain/guides.
- Clean and tighten all...
Just getting warm enough to ride here in the Commonwealth. Father-in-law's 750 is back together and running; mine is back together, it ran last week and won't start now. Only pops on cylinder #1
I wouldn't worry too badly about a couple of 6mm or 8mm (1/4" or 5/16") holes. At least as compared to some JB welded tabs.
As far as posting pics, when typing a reply, there's a spot under the text box that says "Attachments and other options". You can upload any pics from your phone or...
Now, if only I had $750, garage space, time and an understanding wife!
