Ryan's XS750 Cafe Brat - Now with Henry Abe 900cc kit!

Re: Ryan's XS750 Big Bore Brat Build All you need to do is to make sure your regulator/rectifier is in good condition. If you over charge a lithium battery it will get fried. I didn't risk stuffing about with the 30 year old reg/rec. I just replaced mine with a modern one from Oregon MC that...

Ryan's XS750 Cafe Brat - Now with Henry Abe 900cc kit!

Re: Ryan's XS750 Big Bore Brat Build I've got an 8 cell Antigravity lithium battery squeezed in beside the rear master cylinder and in front of the swingarm. You can see in the picture below where the battery box is. Next to it is where I've put the new reg/rectifier from Oregon MC. It's a...

Ryan's XS750 Cafe Brat - Now with Henry Abe 900cc kit!

Re: Ryan's XS750 Big Bore Brat Build Thanks. It's taken me about 6 months to get it to where it is today. Yeah, I should have put a build thread together but I don't post much.... I also considered the cream look but for the tank not the frame.

Ryan's XS750 Cafe Brat - Now with Henry Abe 900cc kit!

Re: An idiot trying to learn Keep the updates coming. I vote a charcoal grey for the frame. Here is a photo of mine in a grey frame and black engine. The frame is actually a metallic colour and is the same as the tank.

Can I ask what you didn't like about the clipons? I'm doing a similar build at the moment and looking around at different handlebars, etc and would be keen to know what you didn't like about them? And how are the replacements? Any close up photos?

Under seat electronics tray (no cafe hump)

Under seat electronics tray (no cafe hump) I'm intrigued as I also will be doing the same soon. That is, mounting all electrics in a small box under the seat. Should the RR definitely be mounted elsewhere where it can decent ventilation, or can a newer one survive in a confined box?

XS750 - Help me identify these frame tabs

Thanks. They're gone now. Pretty sure they were for the standard air box which I won't be using in my build so I got rid of them.

Looking good! Did you paint the inside of your rotors to match the final drive case, or did it come like that?

Looks great! Looking to do mine soon as well. Did you remove the camshaft oil pipe or were you just able to spray around it?

XS750 - Help me identify these frame tabs

I'm in the process of de-tabbing my XS750 frame and I'm stumped as to what these two tabs do? They are both on the cross beam above the swingarm. I know, I should have paid more attention.... At first I thought they were supports for the battery box, but now I'm not sure... Anyone know what...

Good to hear you're not going to chop this to pieces! These are getting harder and harder to find and one with only 3900 on it would be a real beauty.
