    CB450 Tracker

Got my seat covered here in Vietnam. It cost 150,000vnd, which sounds expensive but is actually around $6.50. It looks like a nice job, we'll have to see how it lasts to know for sure. Edit: the white dots are from my camera, not the seat material.

    CB450 Tracker

It's around 10 or maybe 12mm mat, quite thick but the height seems OK. Your girlfriend won't get on your bike - perhaps you need to get a new girlfriend ;D. Only joking, I'm sure she's very nice.

    CB450 Tracker

My brother picked up a yoga mat for me and I cut it up roughly with the scissors and glued three pieces together and, when it set, glued it onto the seat base. I then used an electric knife to cut it to shape, but that wasn't very successful, particularly trimming it to size. I tried an orbital...

    CB450 Tracker

Thanks, that's a good idea. I plan on running my seat up against the back of the tank, the photos just don't show it that way, so hopefully it works out OK. By the way, that's a very nice bike you built.

    CB450 Tracker

Finally back from Vietnam, so I made a seat base which I will take back there next week and get it covered. There are some really good upholsterers over there, and it will cost next to nothing, so it's worth a try. Tomorrow I will make up a little shroud to fit over the rear tank mount and then...

    Ton up SR250: 100mph, 100kg, 30hp

Not sure whether you can do this on your forks or not but on my RD flat tracker I used Kawasaki forks that had a circlip holding the caps in place, so I just machined an internal thread in them and used conventional fork caps.

    DT250 in RD250 frame and DT2-racing guide

I built a Maico with an MX250 motor years ago. I ported the cylinder, squished and cc'd the head, built a pipe, installed a yz250 close ratio gearbox and straight cut primary gears, used an RM250 piston, installed a bigger reed block and a 38mm Mikuni and used an internal rotor ignition with a...

Post a pic of your latest purchase

I've got a good tig, but for aluminium tanks I use the oxy/acetylene as it is easier to control and penetrates all the way through the seam, not just the outside, if that's the problem you had Teazer. You just need the correct flux, special goggles and a slightly carburising flame and Bob's your...

    DT250 Tracker

As the bolt is stuck in the swing arm you should be able to jack apart the two frame rails enough to get a hacksaw blade in there and cut the bolt off on both sides. The bolt will be fairly soft and a bottle jack with packers will get the rails apart. It's really not that big of a job, and a lot...

    CB360 grinding on startup

The cam turns at half engine speed, so it can be 180 degrees out.

    DT250 Tracker

Wow, that looks suspiciously like a rear axle for the swing arm bolt. Regardless, do what Brodie suggested but if you don't have any luck there you will probably need to get a hacksaw blade between the swing arm and frame on both sides and cut the bolt off. You will then be able to push it out...
