Another long weld coming. It looks like I have a half a chance of being able to reach it for a pass on the inside too but looks can be deceiving.

Moved back the other side to finalize. Tipped in the bottom edge and tweaked it into shape. Almost ready to weld to the mounting plate but I may wait until the other side is closed in.

Yes, by hand. This seam was okay to get at, it's the one next to it that I'm worried about:confused:.

A little more progress on the left side of the fender. Happy to see the fit with the seat. I will be reworking the foam and vinyl on the seat to extend over the tab that holds the seat down.

I'm going to leave it bare. One problem with the trailing link front suspension is that if I fix the fender to the axle to keep a close fit it will rock back and forth with the links almost a 45 degree swing! I perhaps could have let a fender pivot on the axle and stabilized with a link to the...

Getting ready to dive in on this. For sure the largest piece I've attempted. Not sure this is a good time to switch alloys but I'm going to give it a go. I've been using 5052 and switching to 3003 Similar in shape to the tank, I'm starting with the center strip as the first piece.

Finally getting back to build season. And finally got the nerve to drill and tack the threaded sockets that will mount the body work. Located the holes with a thin template and then bored out the holes with a hole saw. Made a temporary bracket to set the correct hole spacing to allow access for...
