    new project idea

I like your approach. I draw what I can too and find it does help work things out. Is the frame a scratch build? My $0.02 cents worth is I'd consider rounding the boxy shape so at least from a side profile is has some curves. Good luck!

    XS400 cafe build

I've been lurking for awhile. Lots of nice work on this forum. I'm relatively new to motorcycles so I definitely need help with with all the mechanics and where to get stuff. This is my 3rd build. I've posted elsewhere in hopes of getting the tech support I need and I'm not always getting...

    GL500 Silverwing Scooped for $125

I checked into the Blender user facebook, thanks for sending the info. Nice work on the pattern development. I use mostly 0.060 inch for tanks and a lot of guys use 0.080 inch aluminum. Are using the aluminum you pictured a few pages back? 6061 with a T6 temper is not too bend friendly and...

What did you build this week?

The hub on the bike is way wider on the chain side. It's there to stabilize the tire on the chain side of the hub. The tire almost touches the upright on the non-chain side so peg needed there. It might be a while to get a video but the process of putting it in stand is to hold the bike...

    BMW R90/6 Cafe

I just read through your whole thread. Very nice shaping work! Can you confirm the alloy, you mention 5054 but I only know 5052? What filler rod? On the upper half of the tank did you grind off the welds before planishing? Did you weld inside and out? I struggle to get panels smooth...
