    CB360 Rebuild 2.0

You may have a grounding switch for CDI ignition? It should have worked in OFF position though

CB360's-from build to blog - 2013, MDS (Mo Dumb Shit)

Betty must be doing well, just 'hid' in the garage and made a few sets of CB360 vacuum adapters. (complaining obviously means she's getting better) Because it took? years to sell the last 25 sets I made I've only made 4 sets this time and one is already spoken for

    Cl70 fork rebuild?

Except for fuel tank and forks it's almost identical to the 1965 S65 I had ~50 years ago. Is it a 4 speed?

    CB200 kickstart alternative?

Honda only use a few different spline sizes so it should be pretty easy to find an alternative. Kawasaki and Yamaha also use same spline as Honda on a lot of bikes. Suzuki are generally a much coarser spline though What is the outside diameter over splines on 200?

    Brake Caliper Thread

I'll have to measure a few things and post them up I have some Brembo calipers with a very narrow spacing. Came off an early Victory V-twin (2003~4 maybe?) Various Honda and Suzuki calipers, various Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki rotors (stuff I got for the XS650, CB360 and Katana) I guess bolt hole...

CB360's-from build to blog - 2013, MDS (Mo Dumb Shit)

Well, they didn't let her out until the 8th. She has some sort of lung condition so has to be on oxygen for next few weeks (maybe months?) Apart from that, I'm running around like crazy getting stuff for her and trying to teach her how to use all the equipment. Had to get an O2 monitor and a new...

    Cylinder dowel o-ring placement?

I'm 90% sure the stud spacing changed bur don't remember which year. The eartlier one piece head model was same as 125 but I think later ones were bigger than XR75 and smaller than 125. Measure diagonal between studs. Oh, you also need to havce cases bored for a 125 cylinder spigot

    Where to source oversize piston/rings?

I haven't messed with XL100 since the 80's and just can't remember what we did with them. . CG clone won't work, being a push-rod motor BUT, you can shrink out the liner, fit it to 100 cylinder (will need some major boring but aluminium cuts very easy) and have a 125 instead (56mm bore) I'm way...

    82 Cb900f oil/start questions

Late model sprag clutch for starter is a great idea. No idea how someone found out it fits but it should make the starter pretty bulletproof. It isn't a good idea to 'torque later' as the threadlock will set and give a false reading

Right rocker arm shaft bolt came out on the way home...

Web Cams and 'the other one' charge about $500 as well. They say it's due to lack of demand so machine has to be re-set all the time. From the little I know of cam grinding machines though that's BS and $120~$150 would be more realistic price. It's the price that puts me off gewtting a...

Right rocker arm shaft bolt came out on the way home...

I didn't know Brendan was doing cams and rockers, that's a good price. The 'new' tensioner blades were based on a slightly worn one but they work fine (I was involved a bit with the development) I thought Sparc Moto was making them, maybe CMC took over? The top tensioner holder will be straight...

Cb350, wider fender to fit a bigger Firestone tire?

Here's an idea, I guess I should have bought the 3.50 firestones? Here's a better idea. get some real tyres not some 1940 Harley tyres I had some weird notion we were done with this about 10 years ago You were not dumb enough to fit a 4" tyre on a stock rim? The original rim is barely suitable...

    82 Cb900f oil/start questions

More than likely the squealing is a normal CB900 starter ramp problem. The rollers inside starter clutch wear grooves into the reduction gear hub and inside of the ramps. It was a very common problem after 2~3 years, worse on bikes used for short rides (starter got used more frequently and wore...

    Sprocket Reccomendations - GR650

Check clutch isn't slipping, fit larger sprocket to front and smaller to rear. Bike should easily be capable of cruising at 120Km/hr and top out around 170Km/hr (around 105~110 mph)

    Timing a 1985 GS450L

The picture shows correct timing mark for the later GS,you line it up with trigger and not the mark at 11:00 o'clock on case. Suzuki also had a model where there was a pressed tin piece with the correct timing mark (at least in Britain)

    Timing a 1985 GS450L

Clymer manuals are OK for total novices if they happen to have the exact model that was used for tear-down and pictures but they leave out way too much information on any later modifications or upgrades. Haynes are generally a little better but not by a whole lot although they may have updates...

Right rocker arm shaft bolt came out on the way home...

You need to pull clutch cover and check filter then do the oil flow mods while your in there. The head and cam could be cleaned up and work OK but there will be some damage on the middle cam journal. If it isn't across the entire journal it's salvageable without much expense but a bit of hand...

    CB378 high compression *HELP*

The modified 360 has a very good combustion chamber and doesn't really need even 93 octane fuel. I've used 87 without issues (but not at very low rpm slogging around, idle about 1200 and ride around 6~10,000rpm)) Couldn't feel any difference with 89 or 93 although E10 does mean some carb...
