    1982 GS550M build

Thanks guys! Had my first go at mounting tires. Getting them on took quite a bit of patience, soapy water and sweat but went without drama. When I was gonna pop the bead I noticed my new angled valves were leaking and I couldn’t get the bead to pop either. Gonna have to see if I fudged the...

    1982 GS550M build

It’s been a long, cold winter and not much has happened... but now there’s some progress. Came up with what I thought was a pretty innovative take on the old put-engine-on-the-ground method of installing the engine in frame. I suspended the frame sideways and then jacked up the engine into it...

    Project CB350F cafe brat

Sounds cool, looking forward to seeing that solution. Most just go with bolting the seat on, but making it come off in a nice way is so much more elegant. Sent from my iPhone using DO THE TON

    1980 GS550E + 2000 Katana 750

Cool build, following along! Bulding on a '82 GS550 Katana myself, so somewhere in between your bikes :) The 750 engine should give quite a bit more oomph. Man, that 750 was reallt badly neglected with those brakes and carbs... nice of you to give at least parts of it more love. Perhaps I'm...

    Project CB350F cafe brat

New Age Cafe Racer - Honda CB750 -79 from Finland

Looks great! Don’t think I’ve seen a custom welded front sprocket before, but that’s some really neat welding. I believe there are offset sprockets available from somewhere in Germany, not that you need it now. Sent from my iPhone using DO THE TON

FRANKENHONDA II the 1982 DOHC CB 750F2 Build

FRANKENHONDA II the 1982 DOHC CB 750F2 Build

Looking good! Sure the real lean angle will be smaller but considering the lowered front that looks pretty good. A lot of nice work put into that bike too! Sent from my iPhone using DO THE TON

New Age Cafe Racer - Honda CB750 -79 from Finland

Here's a DOHC kit on DCC (this one's with coils, didn't look if there was one without) https://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-caferacer-bobber-brat-chopper-custom-motorcycle-dyna-high-performance-ignition-kit-cb750-cb900-cb1100-618-861.html

New Age Cafe Racer - Honda CB750 -79 from Finland

Not sure about the K bikes, but the Fs have electronic ignition. It can definitely be upgraded if a lot of engine work has been done to make sure it runs as good as possible. Dyna is available but Ignitech is supposed to be even better. For the Fs one of the best and easiest upgrades is replace...

FRANKENHONDA II the 1982 DOHC CB 750F2 Build

Looks really neat with the tail light! I say embrace the tank angle, I like the fact that it doesn’t flow perfectly and it’s part of what makes it stand out as an F. What you’re working on now looks promising! Sent from my iPhone using DO THE TON

FRANKENHONDA II the 1982 DOHC CB 750F2 Build

The ridge looks really promising. Will give the tail a pretty unique look and tie in well with the tank, which is a real focal point with the Fs. And oh yeah, congrats on the addition to the family! Sent from my iPhone using DO THE TON

FRANKENHONDA II the 1982 DOHC CB 750F2 Build

Looks really good assembled! I liked the seat you had, but fingers crossed the second one turns out the way you want. As for kickstand I guess rearsets could interfere? or height could be wrong with the changed angles? Sent from my iPhone using DO THE TON

FRANKENHONDA II the 1982 DOHC CB 750F2 Build

Definitely envious of you having your personal machinist, looking good! I've seen some cut down and re-drilled the original mounts but custom is of course nicer. Sent from my iPhone using DO THE TON
