I am starting to see a lot of early 80s Yamaha Maxims come of for sale locally at very cheap prices. I was wondering what potential they might have as a special/brat bike. I have always liked the Maxim's engine. Has anyone here done one?

It is time to install the chain on out father and son CB450K project. I have a 530 chain which was given to me, but it is way too long. I have never split a chain before. What do I need to get to do the job? The chain I have is brand new and of a traditional master link design.

Problem solved. The since-fired mechanic must have tried to start it months ago. The gas deteriorated and gummed up the carburetors. They are now clean and working properly. She runs well.
