My 73 Honda CB350G limped home on one cylinder

So the next obvious question is, if I'm doing a rebuild what parts should I have on hand, and what upgrades if any should I do "while I'm at it". Christopher

    cb350 hooker exhaust??

They're really nice. If you have a spare $750 lying around they kind of remind me of the Pea Trap exhaust on Benjie's "El Poquito": Christopher

WTB a chrome tank for a CB350 G. What other tanks "bolt on" to a CB350?

I'm not enough of an expert to tell them apart yet, but isn't this a CB450 with a CB350 tank?: Christopher

My 73 Honda CB350G limped home on one cylinder

I agree that the "hole" may have been a bit of a guess, I was actually thinking that it could be the rings. I was watching when he connected the leak tester and the air was basically passing straight through the spark plug opening (where the hose was connected) and out through the oil tank...

    I Bought a Sidecar

It's not rude, I actualy meant to put the price on my original post. It cost $1000 US plus tax on $600 of that (I was gone for 48 hours so the first $400 was exempt. If I find the exact tax amount I'll post it. Now having said that, the majority of sidecars I found were more like $1500 to $2000...

My 73 Honda CB350G limped home on one cylinder

The good news is I'm getting spark. The bad news is I have NO compression on the right side. The mechanic at Rosy Toes thinks I have a hole in my piston. I'm looking at a top end rebuild or hunting down a good used engine :-( Christopher

    I Bought a Sidecar

Velorex says the sidecar is intended for bikes with 25hp and up. The CB350 is supposed to have 36hp so although when it comes to horsepower more is better, it works fine. I'm pretty sure those big heavy CJ750 (replicas of the BMW R71) only make 32hp. Here's the sidecar (and me) on the bike...

    I Bought a Sidecar

This is the only shot I have so far of Kelevra in the sidecar. It's from a cell phone so it's very low resolution: He's wearing his goggles in the shot and he does have a doggie biker jacket as well. I don't have pics of him in the jacket yet but here's one from the company that sells them...

WTB a chrome tank for a CB350 G. What other tanks "bolt on" to a CB350?

Cool, great to know. About how much would chroming cost? Also what STOCK (ie: not custom made) tanks from other bikes would fit a CB350 G? Are CB350 tanks interchangable across all years? Thanks, Chris

WTB a chrome tank for a CB350 G. What other tanks "bolt on" to a CB350?

Hi All, I'd love a chrome tank for my 1973 Honda CB350 G. Ideally I'd like the same or larger capacity but not at the expense of my "two up" seating. So does anyone know where to buy a chrome tank that will fit a CB350 G? Thanks, Christopher

This seat is BEAUTIFUL! Do CB350F seats fit CB350 twins? Or is a similar style available for the CB350 twin? Christopher

My 73 Honda CB350G limped home on one cylinder

OK here's a shot of both plugs. The one on the right in the shot is from the offending cylinder. It may not be readily visible in the photo, but there is quite a bit of soot on it as compared to the plug on the left. In fact there's LESS soot on the right one than there was between pulling the...

My 73 Honda CB350G limped home on one cylinder

Hi All, I was driving on the highway today in fifth gear and the bike (stock 73 Honda CB350G) had difficulty maintaining 60 mph in fifth gear. I recently installed a sidecar so I thought perhaps it was too much weight and just dropped to fourth and I was fine. After a stop to pick up my...

    I Bought a Sidecar

Hi All, I just bought a sidecar so my dog can come riding with me. Here's the original ad: I still need to hook up the brakes and lights and play with the alignment a bit but it's on the bike now and I love it. In a test ride my dog (in his doggie leather jacket and googles) got more...
