    well getting a little closer. Finished cleaning the carbs and installed the new rebuild kit bits. they are now ready to go back on the bike and test fire. Should hopefully go well and I can then get the bike road legal and get some riding done on it.

    That should help. We're pulling all the groms from our MSF fleets here because they are so unstable that accidents keep happening in exercises like cornering and emergency braking, a few inches of wheel base would make them way better.

    Thanks. It usually works but these were extra bad, never had them so green. Usually os the brown/black varnished gas. This is like they sat in pure water for 5 years.

    so I left the brass in the carb cleaner for 2 days. Pulled it all out and even after vibrating for half and hour. changing the cleaner and doing it again for half an hour then letting them sit. 2 of the 4 pilots are still plugged solid and some of the brass has corroded away on other jets so I...

    Well finally got an hour to play. Pulled the carbs as fuel was not being drawn in when I piped it directly into the carbs. Pics will show why. Never seen carbs inside sooo green. The brass is just corroded as hell.

    Well I got the girl moved out into the garage to start trying to bring her back to life. Put the new battery in, all the electrical is good and she turns over. Now for the bad, pulled the gas cap and got the lovely smell of bad gas, you know the Varsol paint thinner mixed with nail polish smell...

    you should be able to find some foam for those if you are going to be driving in any dusty situations. The screens will support it and keep it from plugging up ports/jets.

    If you do get it damp, I put it in a big pot in the oven at like 250 for an hour or so to dry it back out.
