Hello there; here's my RD in the making

A small update: I got a nasty bike for $100 that I can pull some parts from.

Has the twincharging system been pretty finicky to set up? Very cool cars.

Just got back...photo's from Flat Track Racing

I went to the race last weekend, but I had to leave before the vintage bikes could run. The track was pretty wet so it took a while to get started. I went to a LOT of dirt stock car races when I was a kid, so it was cool taking the young guy I'm mentoring to a race where we both got to...

Stetson... I've been through Deland. It took me about 5 minutes to reach the other end. ;D I have seen some cafe bikes around here, but I never see anyone on/around them.

So where exactly is the "Harvard of the south?" I did a search, but Duke, Vanderbilt, and Ole Miss were all claiming that title.

I'm still planning on going to this, assuming the floodgates in the sky aren't opened up. If you see a college-aged guy in white converses, black shorts, and a blue Gator shirt, don't hesitate to say hello (and hopefully it will be me! ;D).

Hello there; here's my RD in the making

Unless something comes up, I should be there. Any preference in beer? I'll probably bring a sixer.

An event for all of SE US'ers

Hey, I think this is on the same weekend as the Barber Cafe show, but if you can't make it there, the Grassroots Motorsports $2009 Challenge is something else to check out. It's a car event, but I bet you'll find they share a similar build mentality. Participants are allowed the year's date...

    Let's see your riding boots

I have some dorky Tour Masters Response SC velcro-over-shoelace boots; they get the job done. They're not vintage by any means, but I love how Puma motorcycle boots look. I have no idea how high quality they are, though.

With next Saturday being a Gator away game, I'll keep it in mind for something to do. Hopefully I'll see you there!

Hello there; here's my RD in the making

Let me know about when you're playing at the Kickstand; I've been there once or twice before and it seems like a pretty cool place.

21, I've had my bike for three years now under repair (aka, I haven't ridden it yet).

Where did this take place? I ask because Ocala Florida is just a few miles down the road from me.

New from Georgia '75 cb500 cafe project. pics & vids...

Wow, that looks great! I would be hesitant to mess with the paint; it looks like it's in good shape, and hey it's one less thing you need to do!

Hello there; here's my RD in the making

Thanks man! Where do you usually play when you come down here? I have seen a few cafe bikes parked downtown, but not many on the road. Besides, this is my only bike, and it's not operational... I'm just another cage to them. Whereabouts in Georgia are you from? I haven't been through it...

Hello there; here's my RD in the making

Hello from Gainesville, FL. This build has been a long off-and-on process; about three years in the making. I started working on it in my apartment bedroom and back porch, but when dad got a nice big garage, I moved it there. Here's how I picked it up. $100 got me this and some other misc...
