This is the setup i just finished for my CB 450. Had my local machine shop fab me some aluminum plates that bolt up in the 3 corners of the passenger peg supports. Drilled 4 mounting holes for the rearset so I can move them up, down, forward, or rear... only small adjustments, but I didnt...

I went thru this same problem a few weeks ago (working on a mower)... WD, Bolt Blaster, heat, Acetone\ATF, bolt freeze, nothing seemed to work. Finally hit paydirt when I alternated the torch and the spray freeze.... the alternating expansion\contraction did the trick... took 3 times to get...

I second Dime City.... I've been working on a 74 CB450 and they have been great. Prices are reasonable, no hassle returns, when I call them, someone always answers the phone....and have a wealth of knowledge. You can't go wrong dealing with these people. First Class all the way.
