All you need to do is to make sure your regulator/rectifier is in good condition. If you over charge a lithium battery it will get fried.

Keep the updates coming. I vote a charcoal grey for the frame. Here is a photo of mine in a grey frame and black engine. The frame is actually a metallic colour and is the same as the tank.

Can I ask what you didn't like about the clipons? I'm doing a similar build at the moment and looking around at different handlebars, etc and would be keen to know what you didn't like about them?
And how are the replacements? Any close up photos?

Should the RR definitely be mounted elsewhere where it can decent ventilation, or can a newer one survive in a confined box?
