Re: An idiot trying to learn Keep the updates coming. I vote a charcoal grey for the frame. Here is a photo of mine in a grey frame and black engine. The frame is actually a metallic colour and is the same as the tank.

Can I ask what you didn't like about the clipons? I'm doing a similar build at the moment and looking around at different handlebars, etc and would be keen to know what you didn't like about them? And how are the replacements? Any close up photos?

Under seat electronics tray (no cafe hump) I'm intrigued as I also will be doing the same soon. That is, mounting all electrics in a small box under the seat. Should the RR definitely be mounted elsewhere where it can decent ventilation, or can a newer one survive in a confined box?

Thanks. They're gone now. Pretty sure they were for the standard air box which I won't be using in my build so I got rid of them.

I'm in the process of de-tabbing my XS750 frame and I'm stumped as to what these two tabs do? They are both on the cross beam above the swingarm. I know, I should have paid more attention.... At first I thought they were supports for the battery box, but now I'm not sure... Anyone know what...
