I think we discussed this wheel earlier. It is not correct. Look back about Page 2 and you can see the comments.

Anyone ever make a tank riser out of wood ?

I've seen it done with rubber blocks. I think wood would be fine, but compression/strength will depend on the type of wood.

Down under, an idiot and a 400F

I've started seeing a few on FB Marketplace. I set my preference for 250 miles from Atlanta. Money is tight and folks have started selling off unneeded things including motorcycles. Most of them are basically basket cases. Nearly all of them no titles since they were in Alabama, Mississippi...

A cheap Harbor Freight tarp(s) works good. Cover as much of the wall and the surrounding tools or benches as best you can.

    Ultrasonic parts cleaner

Some common household chemicals will anodize aluminum when mixed with heated water. A friend turned his CB350 carb bodies a lovely shade of olive green using Simple Green in a crockpot. I turned a Harley aluminum top triple tree a not so lovely gray/black with Dawn dish detergent.

I had the opportunity to purchase a nice rider quality RZ in Daytona a few years ago. I reluctantly passed and the owner parted it out a month or two later. I could have had it for $1200 running and titled. It parted out for around $4K.
