    CB550 exhaust.

Hey there, I'm looking for exhaust for CB550 (K3, 1978). 4in2 or 4in4 would be awesome, but 4in1 is also interesting. Chrome or black, no drag pipes. Little rust is ok, as long as there are no holes :] The exhaust would be needed to be shipped to a country far away - Lithuania (Europe) and I...

    Engine parts for CB550.

At the moment I'm hope to get stainless ones, but if that doesn't work out, I will definately do. Thank you! I'm still looking for other parts, especially oversized pistons. If anyone has a set, I would be very grateful.

    Engine parts for CB550.

Hey guys, I'm looking for some engine parts for my CB550K3 (1978). Before trying feebay, I was hoping to maybe source some from here. Most of the parts can be used. The parts would be needed to be shipped to a country far away - Lithuania (Europe) and I would gladly pay with Paypal in advance...

Stuck bearing retainers and screwed up threads.

Yeah, that was my first mistake - not walking away... that's one that is hard to learn somehow :/ The retainer here is from steel, so welding was to problem. It's kind a strange, because hub threads are aluminium and I know from other experiences that when you leave aluminium and steel...

Stuck bearing retainers and screwed up threads.

Yes, I drilled those out. I was so angry with this retainer I started cutting it out. Thought it was a simple and therefor cheap part. Boy, was I wrong.... My dremel couldn't reach well enough to cut the wall of retainer and release the pressure. So finally I welded a big socket in there to be...

Stuck bearing retainers and screwed up threads.

Hi guys, got a little but stuck with bearing retainers on CB550 (1978, K3). Front one: I made a tool, heated the surroundings and it haven't moved a bit. It was a little bashed up before my attempts to loosen it up. After couple of hours of trying I gave up, made a cut in it and removed it in a...

Air leaks in carb. Choke down (open) - high revs.

Yeah, screws are tight and new gaskets there too. Carbs haven't been synced, but don't know how this could be sync issue:/ Just to be clear, here is a video of what happens when I open the choke. Cable is removed, idle screw just a little bit out, to get it started at all. The sound doesn't...

Air leaks in carb. Choke down (open) - high revs.

No no, throttle cable is definately working ok. I replaced one of the cables with a spring on the carb, but even if I remove both the throttle cable and the spring from the carb it still revs like crazy when I open the choke at least a little bit.

Air leaks in carb. Choke down (open) - high revs.

Thanks for suggestions. With air intakes blocked it doesn't start. If i block the intakes while engine is running it dies pretty quick too. That's why I'm pretty sure it's not air leak anywhere :/

Air leaks in carb. Choke down (open) - high revs.

Checked it. Butterfly is closing and opening really nice and smooth and is not holding the carb open :/

Air leaks in carb. Choke down (open) - high revs.

Any other ideas on these high revs? Would be very thankful for any suggestions. After countless carb rebuilds and experiments I'm completely out of ideas:/ Got the jetting back to default and fitted the original air filters. Sadly it still revs like crazy with choke open. There are no air...

Air leaks in carb. Choke down (open) - high revs.

Turns out fuel in shafts was because of needles being too high. lowered them and problem is solved. But open choke (flaps are open) - very high revs, closed choke (flaps are closed) - low revs, problem remain. Any other guesses what might a problem be?

Air leaks in carb. Choke down (open) - high revs.

Thank guys for your advices. Although spraying carbs with WD40 (checking for air leaks) showed no change in revs, I have changed inlet rubbers to new, so there is definitely no leaks there. Choke and throttle flaps aren't stuck, checked that too. They really work fine and idle screw is almost...

Air leaks in carb. Choke down (open) - high revs.

Hey guys, I'm stuck with a question with my CB250G5 (1976) with pods and straight exhaust. Somehow when choke is down (open position) the bike revs like crazy. When choke is up (closed position) it just idles. Not nice, but at least it idles. Idle screw is all out, fuel screws are 1,5 turns out...

    Vintage Russian headlamps.

Hey guys, I can try to source some more of those headlights, it just takes time. But have no idea what to ask for them part wise cause I'm already on finish line of my project. Some cafe/scrambler accessories or apparel is always interesting. Any offers would be considered. I really don't...
