1969 honda cb350 super sport...resale value,, restoration or cafe

Picking up a 1969 Honda cb350 ss...I think I paid a reasonable price for it considering it needs some work. Kbb says the value is $1600 but it also says that about my old 82 cm450...Are these bikes rare? if it was a nice bike(not perfect but super nice) what do you think the value would be?..i see 70's 350's go for $3000+ on ebay.

I just don't want to chop up something that could be worth more restored..

You are not going to find a set answer on this. It's all about the bike, condition, all original verus slightly modified, versus completely bobbed or cafe'd. Then it comes down to the market, who is interested and what they will pay. Check ebay, craigslist, etc. and guesstimate what you think is closest to your bike or what direction you want to go. Vintage bikes for the common person is a labor of love, not profit. I will easily have double what I paid for in my bike by the time it's updated with new stator, carbs, etc. Would someone pay what I have invested? Maybe, maybe not, all depends on the buyer.
 
Nothing honda is rare.
Most are not worth anything when built as a cafe.
Very little interest for restored "standard" bikes.
Any money is in original correct survivor bikes.
Even then it's hit or miss.

No one will be able to just shoot a number out.
Area matters, condition and a million other things.
It's worth exactly what some will pay. Put it up n eBay and see.
I don't see many $3k 350s...
 
I totally understand lol...it is a " original correct survivor". 5,000 orig miles..i might see what ebay has to offer..
