1972 Suzuki GT185

Live long and prosper.
So since I live in an area where the ocean destroys everything that isn't stored indoors vintage motorcycles and cars are pretty rare. I keep an ad up on CL basically saying if you have an older bike I would be interested in purchasing it. Up until a couple of days ago I never had gotten a response worth checking out. Anyways, got an email from a guy. Said he had a Suzuki GT185 and wanted virtually nothing for it. Yesterday I went to check it out and ended up buying it. On top of it being titled he also threw in a Suzuki TS250 parts bike. I asked him what he did and he said that he was in a band and they weren't touring at the moment. Thinking I would have no clue what band he was in I asked anyways, his response was Band of Horses. Thank you Creighton Barrett for hooking me up sir.

I plan this keep this bike as original as possible, I'm going to do some lower bars on it and a new headlight bucket. I'm also going to go through it and replace all of the rubber and plastic that's worn out. I love the pantina look of this week and think it will be an awesome bike to ride out to the beach during summer. Let the cleaning commence!

set of pipes, sticky tires and maybe fresh shocks/fork rebuild and ride the crap out of it. Leave the tank etc just the way it is so you can not worry about a few scrapes. Nice fun little scoot there.

Couldn't agree more. Looks like I'm going to have to get some pipes made.
