1977 CB550F installing Clip ons.

Hi I just got some clip ons from ebay and I was wondering if its safe to remove the top triple tree without the bike falling down on me. I dont have a jack at the moment.

it puts a pretty severe bending load on the bottom clamp so get a jack and do it right you need to get the weight off the front wheel

thats besides the point but yeah clipons are for the race track, just plain dumb on the street
