Hey guys, I am rebuilding a 1980 CB750K and somehow the right fork holder on my lower triple tree got bent. I purchased a 1979 CB750K steering stem/lower triple tree from eBay thinking they are compatible. When I put it on I realized the stem angle was different and my top triple tree would not match up (see picture below). The forks are angled too far back and the top triple tree stem hole does not line up with the stem. A side note, the forks line up with themselves perfectly, so I know the fork holes are not bent weird.
Do I just need to get a 1979 TOP triple tree? Maybe this is NOT a '79 like the seller said or maybe the steering stem is bent at a weird angle (broken)? What do you guys think?
