1980 KZ440 Exhaust Help

Hey there everyone, I'm pretty new here and am just starting up again on my KZ440 Tracker/Cafe thing build as I just got a job again. But I am stuck as to what to do with the exhaust on the build. When I got the bike the previous owner had chopped the mufflers and that is where I am now, but seeing as I am in California (noise regulation bullshit) annnnnd I don't really want to get a ticket for being too loud I was just seeing what everyone else has done. I was thinking about going with a couple of shorty's from DCC, but was also thinking about just getting a stock exhaust (a good one has been hard to find) so I don't have to mess with the carbs. Any and all input is welcome and I can't wait to start my build thread!

Either option will work. The aftermarket mufflers may need some rejetting.

If you're just looking for mufflers, you might try some Harley Sportster take-offs. I picked up a pair at a swap meet for $30. They were like brand new.
