2.5 mini gauge blinker wiring

So I'm trying to wire my gauge wires to my new mini gauges and can't figure out how to connect my two ground and my two positive wires (one of each for each blinker) from my original wiring to the gauge's single positive and negative wires. I read something about needing a diode possibly, but I was hoping someone could expand on how to go about doing that.

Are you talking about having the idiot light flash for both left and right blinkers?
If so, you will need diodes. There is a nice diagram floating around but can't seem to find it right now.

So I finished the wiring this weekend and crimped the diodes to the wire using an insulated wire connector then heat wrapped them and taped them. I didn't do the lineman join, but they looked pretty secure. What did you end up doing Jay Ace?

I soldered it.
Worst thing it can happen is that it will lose the connection. If it does, solder it.

Will that hold up under vibrations of the bike? The lineman looked pretty secure, also not very apt at soldering, but I guess I should probably learn how to...

Hello,
I am new here so sorry if this is repetitive.
I have just wired up the same mini gauges using the diode method. I was having the issue of two wires needing to go to the one indicator. So I made the proper diode connectors as directed and now everything works except no blinking. When i switch left, left side is solid and shows up on indicator, when switched right, right is solid as is indicator light. Any thoughts for this new guy? Do i need a solid state indicator? I can hear the stock indicator click each time i switch on and off.
