Cleaned up quite nicely.

damn that looks dope man!!!! I want that on display in my living room.

Nothing fancy. first day of Spring so I borrowed the rear wheel from my maico and rolled the yammy outside. Still working on the wiring loom (been painting the switches). Finished the seat, it flips up like a hood and is held in place by a hinge at the front and a single bolt at the back that has a counter-piece welded onto the pan. the whole thing (including the padding) weighs about 2lbs or less. I think I'll start calling the bike Superlite

Anybody know of a good way to remove paint from the rear hub? I've tried paint remover and sandblasting, neither of them worked very well.

god that bike looks sexy.

dot3 or 4 brake fluid works pretty well on paint... in my opinion a bit better then aircraft paint remover, just messier.

for the tail light and headlight... i dont know how the xs was wired from the factory, but i would make sure that you have a really good grounding point between the frame and those lights. its definitely a simple (and very well made) wiring diagram... just a bit oversimple.

I just noticed that the brake light switch goes into the tail light... couldnt you just simplify your diagram by making the switch in the live line and then only have the negative being grounded? two wires in and only one ground just confuses me a bit.

P.S. Its about time somebody made clear headers and exhaust pipes ;) ;)
