Bike starts intermittenly

So last week my friend dropped my bike trying to put it up on the center stand and ever since then it doesn't want to start. Sometime I'll turn my key and the lights will come on and I'll kick it over and then it will power off after a few minutes. Sometimes when I turn the key the power won't come on at all. The worst is when the bike shuts off while riding. Was the battery damaged when my friend dropped my bike? or is something else?

thanks

can you give any more info, like do the lights stay on when it dies , does the horn still work when the engine wont start, that sort of thing. have you checked the terminals on the battery they might have knocked loose, or the kill switch might have got damaged,

Sorry, I'll try to be more clear. When the bike dies so do the lights. Was driving last night at 50mph when everything shut off. I pulled over the lights came back on and I kicked the bike over and drove home. This morning I turned the bike on and started it and waited for it to warm up when all of sudden everything shut off including the lights. As for the horn I don't know because I removed it. This has only been happening since my friend dropped the bike.

Sounds like it could be a loose connection. Check the battery connections first. Undo them, ensure the wires aren't damaged, and then tighten it all back up again.

Next place to check would be the ignition switch. Same procedure.
