CB/CM 400T Fork Oil amount and weight

Hi

I'm rebuilding my CB400T 1978 model forks, simple enough job...was wondering if anyone on here has thoughts on what weight of fork oil to use, I normally set my forks up using an air gap measurement...can find anything on this anywhere...would appreciate any help on this.

I'm a complete noob to motorcycles and have been given a CB400T by my dad (nice dad). It's totally stock but my brother-in-law has had a look at it and has pointed out it needs new fork seals. I was gonna be brave and do it myself, and you've stated it's a simple job. Can you give me any quick and dirty advice as to how to do it? Tips or tricks? Or can you point me to a how to? Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Regards, Joe90.
