Been Around the Block
Hi all,
some CB350 chopper stuff is up for grabs, came on a bike I bought and I can't use it. I have gone through and cleaned the stuff up as best I can. Interested? PM me with an offer. Open to trades- need cafe seat, CB550 front forks/triple, front caliper, all sorts of bits. Let's try to keep shipping to contiguous 48 states. Forks are gonna be expensive to ship.
Front forks/triple:
9" longer than stock (39"), legs are in pretty nice shape, very minimal corrosion. Fork ears are really nice with only some small areas of pitting near the inside/bottom. They appear straight. The tubes are pitted above the legs and need re-chromed. Seals need replaced. Top triple is cracked/broken. comes with fork brace that is badly pitted.
Bars:
look custom made, but very well done. Has some very light pitting over most of it, chrome is pretty nice. Only a small area on each side is rusty that won't clean up with steel wool. There is some grey paint on them but it comes off with steel wool (i took most of it off but hands got tired lol). Grips are old and some of the ribs have come off, but you could still run them. Comes with throttle tube. You could run these as-is unless you are a perfectionist.
Seat:
Old, but material is still supple enough to sit on. One tear on the side, another area on top where the material is starting to pull apart (see pics). A couple small spots where the piping is chipped away but it's hard to tell unless you look closely. Unsure of what the pan fit originally, but the brackets someone put on it are definitely custom made to fit a CB350 frame- the little hooks fit into the frame's tabs. Getting them off will require a grinder, as the screws are completely frozen. I was able to get the seat off by slightly bending one of the hooks, you could most likely do the same to get it on your machine.
