CB350F vs CB400

So I found out fairly quickly that building a CB350F was a little more trick than a cb350..


Tried to look up alternate bike parts and found out a 350f is closer to a 400 than a 350.


Most of the 400 parts will swap with a 350f, almost none for a 350.


Finding most parts are easy, but a tank and rear sets...Still no luck at all... Any advice?


Rearsets mostly I can wait for a tank, but the rear sets are holding me up..

To be honest man, if you are looking for some aftermarket bolt on parts for these bikes (350f or 400f) there are just not many out there. The mini fours are a smaller group than the cb350's and other small twins. You will have to get creative brother!

Really you have tons of option, but the question is how many things have done before?


Because of the rarity of the mini-Four like 350F and 400F, most owners have either kept them bone stock, or gone crazy modifying them using one-off parts.

the Cb350K is a 2 cylinder and the cb350F is a 4, yes the the cb350F is closer to the CB400F.
the 400 motor will bolt into a 350f frame

the Cb350F is unloved in the honda world.
it is seen as underpowered for the weight.
i had one for a while and really liked it.

some OEM parts are not avalible form honda any more so some times getting parts is a pain


the CB400F is a MUCH MUCH better bike.

and a ton of aftermarket support for it. they race these things overseas and if you look around you can find some very cool parts for them.

I just picked up some year 2000-ish Yamaha R6 rearsets for $10 on Craigslist and test fit them to my 400F. Looks very promising. I should be able to simply invert the linkage on the brake, turn the lever around, then invert the linkage and turn the lever around on the shifter, and weld a bracket onto the frame for the rearsets. It clears the kick starter, the pegs fold (should you mount them where it wouldn't clear) , and they were very cheap. I'm going to get around to a build thread some day.
