Cb750 single throttle cable advice?

Looking to go with a single pull cable for my 74 cb750. I'm sure is been done before but I've never done it and was looking to see what others out there have done or suggest. I was thinking that simply putting a tighter spring on the carb rack would suffice. Any thoughts?

Tighter spring will work. My 79 had dual cables originally, but I only had 1 cable on. The spring was plenty strong enough to snap it back to idle. If you want to go go the extra route, you can buy a single cable throttle tube also, but it's not necessary.

Yeah. I'm getting ready to start putting my front end back together once I get the triple tree back from paint. I need to start looking at switches and a whole new throttle assembly (any suggestions) abd wanted to go with the single cable.
