so im having my engine rebuilt from my 1981 CB900f and found out i had a broken pisten skirt, so i bought a 985cc big bore kit for it off of ebay from a company in japan called cruzin image co, anyone know if their product will last? reviews online are very limited but none of them are bad. also ive heard rumors that i can take the cams out of an CB1100f and put them in my 900 and get more power out of it, is this true. i want to make this bike as fast as i can, any advice is appriciated.

I don't have any info on the specific kit but I've seen a couple 985 bigbore bikes and they seem to hold up fine to use and abuse. I believe the 11f cams will boost your power a bit if you can find a good set. Some CR or FCR carbs will do alot for you as well

I think the 1100F cams need to have the journals turned down a bit in order to fit the 900F head. The weakness in the 900F lives in the connecting rods. I believe that if you are not racing this engine then the 985 kit is okay. Check this out further on http://www.cb1100f.net You can find out anything you need to in this forum about this family of bikes.
