Been Around the Block
CD 175 running but rough..needs a battery and a carb clean..everything there..I may even have a luggage rack..somewhere...I can send pics it's red and in good shape ..a rip in the seat but pretty much good to go. in the ball park of $1000 and it's your's.
 
Ok I cleaned this punkass up and I'm making it into a track based bike that'll end up on the street. Seems that I have a CB model and not the CD as far as I can tell. confusing shit. The ownership says CD 400cc..damn Quebec transport office...

hey man,

its a cd175, looks the same as mine.
73-74, was made in canada for one year, basically the same as the cb, but the single carbs and the smaller cam.
same tank, lower end, tranny had a 5 speed and the cd had a 4 speed.
any way, looks great, fun little bike, i have been ever where on mine.
does about 115kms full out. about 120 down hill with good dense air.

Just what my fat ass needs..I'm keeping the bugger..now can someone tell me how many turns out I need to set the carb screws?
 
hey there,

the idle screw is 1 1/4 to 1/2 turns and the mixture screw is 1 1/2
if the cam chain needs adjustment put the bike to top dead and then adj, loosen the lock nut and then loosen the screw and then tighten and tighten the lock.
the needle, ride the bike, and then adjust it while riding. the bike will idle up when its at the right spot.
check the plugs after a good full out run.
any way, any more info, i have the manual.

go to e-bay motors. there are manuals there. there about 20 bucks i think.
i am using my buds book, might be able to take some pics and post them on here.
what do you need just the tune up??

The....boy..how do I put this?.....I'm too fucking cheap to pay for a manual..I don't download music..or movies..or anything...but man I want a "free" downloadable manual..just like the ones I got for the cb350,cb360T,CB500,R5,RD350,Ducati 748..I know..I just have this feeling..that there is a downloadable virus free .pdf of the CD175 that I will not feel guilty about downloading if it comes across my desktop. I hate ebay escept for the pretty pictures it has sometimes. (I still got that cb350 gasket kit!!)...oh ya...I just want to tune it up..
