CL350 piston part number

Looking for new pistons for a 68 CL350. Tore apart and all specs were dead on but the rings were solidly welded into the ring grooves. So, not planning on reusing those. Engine had 3077miles and the measurements I'm getting from the cylinders and bottom end agrees with that number.

I'm not looking to bore so just trying to find a set of NOS 64mm pistons. Stamped on them is 287A. Tried searching DTT and got nothing. eBay has tons if I want to bore.

Does anyone have a good resource for OEM pistons? Or know the correct P/N for them? Found a few listed as 13101-287-010 but was under the impression the 010 is a first over bore. So looking for a 13101-287-000?

New to the 350 world, but learning fast.

Thanks!

Almost right but not quite. The last three digits are the design level, so if there's a minor change to the part it becomes 010, 020 etc. For colored parts Honda uses those three digits to indicate color. In some cases they use that to indicate a race kit part like 810, 820 etc. 810 really means special use.

middle numbers are the model code that it was first designed for. that same part may continue to be used in later bikes if there is no change to the design. in this case, 287 is the CB350 IIRC.

So where, you ask, do they indicate piston size? That's the main number. So 13101 might be stock size, 13111 might be first oversize., 13211 might be 2nd oversize etc. You have to check the parts list for actual part numbers. I used those for illustration only.

That makes sense. With that info I think a 13101-312-010 newer stock number or 13101-287-010 is what I'm after. Certainly a much smaller stock of them in the world than the 0.25-1.00 overs. Unsure of what happened between the 312 and 287 numbers but this being a '68 it doesn't surprise me that numbers changed.
