Hi, I recently completed the rebuild of my '74 cl450 and promptly took it for a spin...I was pretty disappointed with the forks. I've done some reading and it looks like cb500t forks rebuilt with emulators are the way to go.
I've found the fork diameters are the same, but can't find details on length or axle compatibility. I want to retain the cl drum.
Is it as simple as swapping out cl forks for cb500t? Will the cl wheel fit in cb500t forks with cl axle? Will fender bolt on and what about brake stay?
Any info before forking out for cb500t forks would be appreciated
