Clearance problems

I was in the process of making some home brew rearsets when I encountered a problem. I'm trying to mount the pegs utilizing the predrilled passenger pegs but when I put on the levers, there isn't enough room to shift as I hit the exhaust. I have a '69 CB450K2 and was wondering if 1)anyone else had had this problem and 2)how did you resolve it. I know im going to end up making a bracket to move them up. I didn't know if anyone had already done this which would give me a starting point. Cheers!

I've seen a couple cb450s with the rear sets on the passenger side. You will have to run a different exhaust set up if you want to use that position. Maybe you can get some shorty mufflers or maybe even find headers that move the exhaust lower and more underneath the frame.

One of the 450's was Noel's. He had a CL exhaust on it gave the rear sets clearance. The other 450 I saw had headers that ran the exhaust more underneath the frame.
