I have a cm200 1981currently runing a single cb200 mikuni, id like to run both carbs, I know I need an extra throttle cable and make adapters, plus extra fuel line to my double petcock....?......
does anyone know why they only fitted a single carburettor to the cm200?
And would I gain any performance runing twin carbs?.
obviously it will affect fuel consumption but im willing to pay the price for more punch.

With 8.8:1 compression and tiny two valve heads.... you won't gain anything my adding twin carbs to a stock engine. The engine brand new was 17hp so it most likely has around 15 max today and you will end up around that range after a lot of time and money is spent on twin carbs, everything to set them up and.... ( if you get it tuned correctly )

If you rebuild the engine with high comp pistons and do a lot of head porting work ...sure, twin carbs would make more sense, however the bike is still a 300+ lb cruiser and your cash is better spent elsewhere.... just 'sayin

Well I have the carbs in working order, just need a twin cable ordered, and make up adapters from plastic or steel, so in other words your sayin it wont make much of a difference to it either way im doing it! The bike is 38years old I dont think I could do much wrongs to it, as its just an old beater.
