Comparing these two carb sets

Does any one see a bigger advantage or disadvantage in either of these two carb sets?

Same exact set, but I'm not a fan of SUDCOs jetting.

Sudco doesn't jet for 350, they just tell you they do
They do come with manifolds though
Dime City do change main and pilot jets plus give you some extra's but you may have to buy new manifolds

I just bought the one off of eBay, mainly because of the money.

I should go ahead and order some new jets too, yes?

Let me know how this turns out as I have been researching the same thing. I am also interested if those intake boots are angled or if they are straight, as well as if the cone filters fit with the straight boots if that is what came with it. The stock boots normall angle out, but I read the mikuni ones don't. Also let me know how sudco jetted it. Thanks !

No. the mikuni boots do not angle out which is a pain in the ass. I took my stock boots and had them turned to accept the Mikuni carbs. How did I do this you ask???

Ok cool. Thanks for the heads up. I read you can soak them in a solution to soften them up too which allows for a relatively easy fit. Where did you have them turned? Was this something you did on your own? Thanks for the pic.

I took them to a local machine shop and had them turned for $20. Soaking them will not help the fit since the flange on the Mukni carb is too long to fit in the stock boot. That is why you have to remove the material to make it fit right.

excellent, thanks. Always good to have a rough idea on pricing before you agree. Makes sense, I haven't had a mikuni in my hand yet, but your drawings make perfect sense. Now if someone could make angled spacers for the mikuni straight boots that might be another more "mass producible" product. I might see what I can come up with.
