Evening folks,

I am Regis, from France.

I own a BMW R65 whose heads need an overhaul and handlebars needs to be replaced by some clip ons.

As an everyday driver I just bought a Suzuki GN 250 wich I am trying not to café.
But you know what they say, the best way to get rid of an obsession is to go for it so ...

Welcome Regis from France! Looking forward to seeing some pics of your R65. I have a 1975 R75 myself but it's all stock. I use it for longer trips so it has to stay comfortable and reliable :)

Which means you're not allowed to mess with it?

My R65 is just a regular 65 with twin disc and a braided hose up front.
That being said, the R65 are quite a sportiest beemer for that era with the short stroke engine and the shorter wheel base

But hitting the ton with it was one of those unforgetable moment since just as I closed the throttle, I felt the rear wheel lock ... followed by my first ever shimmy !

These were the longest 5 seconds of my life.
