Filler spots showing through

Very recently I remember seeing a member here w/ spots showing through their paint. I looked around to find the thread w/ no success, so I thought I’d post the question. I had a couple of spots I wanted to clean up/ smooth out and also had a spot that looked like what’s shown in the picture below. For some reason It appears my fine filler is showing through. Suggestions on how I need to correct this?

pretty sure something wasn't 100% finished curing there. How long has it been sitting now? if a few weeks you can likely wet sand and coat with the topcoat again and it should be fine. I've rushed paint jobs and had those results.

Try a high build primer and in these cooler days, it helps to keep the part warm to allow it to off gas (cure).

Thanx for mentioning that, I had wondered about high build primer. Guess I gotta find some.

Filler soaks up water like a sponge.

If you wet sand, and paint in quick succession when it looks dry, it was still wet.

I never wetsand anymore. Dry paper and a DA.

Wetsand is fine. You can wipe it down with an isopropyl alcohol solution to evaporate any moisture. You need to seal your primer and filler, especially if you've done touch up work or don't bring the sanding down to bare metal.

Might try a sealer primer.

Must have been moisture in the filler. I've gone back at it and things are now looking good. Unless I see something else when I sand the primer w/ 1000 grit prior to color spray it's all ready to shoot. Now I just have to wait for higher temperatures and lower humidity.
