Frame design MOD

Hey guys I've got possible an odd question I haven't noticed anyone else do this but I"m guessing someone has. My bike is an 81 cb650 but I"m using a 75 cb750 tank and a roc city seat. Trying to fit these pieces on the bike to look uniform and at home has been quite a challenge for me and honestly I Hodge podged a lot of scrap together to make if half way work. I've decided to cut it all apart and have at it again and my idea to get it where I want it is to cut and remove as much of the tube shown boxed in red as possible up to the back bone. From there simply take another piece of tube to replace it making as straight of a shot as possible to the rear then using a slug and another short tube running an extension to the bottom of the new seat frame. Yes I understand it's a lot of work but I don't see any other way to get the results I'm looking for. Any thought on how to execute my idea would be great as would any other ideas. Thanks for any help.

What about replacing the red with straight tubes on both sides to the angle at the shock mount and then order a hoop from Sonic for the tail?

All I would say is your pissing with three structural connected triangles. Either you better be a hell of a good welder and have that frame in a jig so it wont move through the cutting and welding.

Yea that was kinda my plan minus the hoop which I honestly didn't think of but a very good idea. It does have a slight curve to it that will have to be accommodated for though so it cant be perfectly straight.

I will be welding the frame myself and it will be Tig welded for strength reasons and I will also be using slugs in the frame. As for warpage no I don't have a jig and I'm 100% with you as far as tweaking the frame from heat it's a fear I have going into this but I'm hoping that with enough patience and measuring tools I can get it very close. Minus that I don't really see any options that will give it a nice clean look
