hey tintin, i go by carl550k on sohc/4 also. the chrome on the exhaust is a 5 footer. it looks good from 5 feet away. there is hardly any rust just 1 hole i patched with jb weld about the size of a quarter thats it. its off the bike now as i have my black mac 4/1 on now. the 4/4 is tucked away under my bed for safe keeping. cant seem to part with it as its the original and i like to keep it around to put the bike to stock if problems shoud occure and i need a baseline.

SWEET RIDE. I LIKE THE MILD COLORS. I ALWAYS THINK OF A SLEEPER WHEN I SEE THOSE MILD COLORS.
I DON'T THINK US XS GUYS ARE GOING TO OUT RUN THE HONDA GUYS. YOU HAVE TO REMEMEBER MORE XS HAVE BEEN SACRIFICED TO THE CHOPPER GODS THAN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF CB'S MADE.
FOR FYI I AM RECENTLY BEEN SWAYED TOWARD THE DARK SIDE OF BUYING A CB200T AND MAKING ANOTHER CAFE.

Its true, it's hard to be a one brand kinda guy (or girl). Even I'm looking at zooks and kawas. After two Yammie's it's time to see how other people do it. Plus, I'm looking for a dohc 4 and I'm not a real fan of the XS11. Still not going over to the dark side of Honda though. Lol!

it's a hard chioce to make but in rebuilding my yammie I found that honda has the most parts still made for the older bikes of any of the jap runners. It's weird with yamaha they will disc. most but not all of a specific assembly and keep an odd screw in production. Building my tx was easy because you can always get parts for the old girl. hard to imagine she's an antique this year. shit I am old.
