Harely Softail Fighter!!!!!!

I am doing a build that is about 75% done. I did a build thread over on a harley forum and custom fighters. Figured I would post a micro-thread with a couple pics over here.

Almost done, gsxr 1000 front end, CBR600RR rear end, paint, bobber, bunch of detail work to do. Major sticking point right now is the primary offset and chain run. I am gonna have to have someone who knows primarys and offset kits look at it. When I get that squared away I will be on the road. Also still have to build the lower shackle for the shock linkage.

Very interesting. It's more bobber-esque but the swinger and fork swap has me cheering!

Its definately a bobber, just chucked it in here because this is where I usually post. And I guess it is "fighter styled", anyway, just figured I would share some pics. ;D

how did you bolt the swing arm to the frame?

Had a custom pivot bolt made, had bushings made for the swinger and stuck the bolt through the hole!!! Pretty straight forward.

I dont have to build a top shock mount because the CBR swinger incorporates the shock mount into the arm itself. All I have to do is build a lower shackle for the shock linkage. I have not done that yet. I just used a big hose clamp to conect the linkage to the frame to snap some pics. The lower shackle is gonna be real easy. I am just holding off until get the offset primary drive all squared away. I may have to ajust the arm more to one side or the other, so I dont want to make anything permanent until that is done. The wheel is pretty dead center inb the frame right now though, so I am in the ball park, may just need a little tweakin.

I bolted the stock rear end back on so I could ride for the last couple weeks of the season. Offset and CBR rear end for the winter.

I will tell ya that this thing makes one hell of racket!!!! Very fun to ride.

Rear tire is a 140. Just threw it together to take a couple rips. Ordering offset parts this week. Probably wont be together in time to take a spin this year.

Hey Bronze, I will move it to another fourm if ya want. Just doin a couple update pics, not a full build thread. Sorta "fightered" with the gixxer frontend and CBR rear. Anyway, no worries if ya want it moved. 8)
