Came across this site and found a ton of info to help me build my ride. Alot of great rides and builders here! Currently in the process of building a honda Cm450 into a cafe racer. I already have alot of work gone into building the rear frame to suit the "cafe" style. :)

Welcome to the site.

Where in NL are you? there are a few of us here in St. John's.

And please, post some pics of your ride... before/after/progress pics are welcome.

Sorry, forgot to introduce myself. My name is Chris and I am 24 years old and have been riding since age 7. Always had dirt and street bikes and got bitten by the cafe itch when I saw a "cafe" 73 CB450 a few years back. My regular ride is a 2006 Yamaha Vmax but I still wanted to cafe an old Honda. Last year I aquired a 1983 Honda CM450 from a good friend who no longer had any use for the bike so I began to think. Not the best bike to start with but I'm working with what I got, and so far she's turning out good. I cut the frame off just behind the gas tank mount and passanger foot pegs and I am currently putting together a "straighter", cafe type frame like the old honda cb.

I'll post some pics soon as I figure out how!

thanks. 8)
