Hey fellas, I just picked up my first cafe build a few weeks ago. It's a 1978 Honda cb750k. I've been doing quite a bit of research and digging around online for ideas and ways to get this build together how I see it finished in my head. The one thing I really wanna do is install wheel covers over the rims. I came across one build online where the builder used pizza pans as wheel covers. I really wanna try to replicate the look on my wheels but I can't quite figure the best way to accomplish this. Any tips on installing something like this or what works best??

Are you looking for conventional automotive type wheel covers, or possibly those "spinners" that look like they are turning even when stopped?
Any car wheel cover would be problematic. You would need to cut a circular hole in the center for the hub. Assuming you could do that neatly, maybe 3 or four through bolts would clamp it to the wheel.
Do you have the Comstars or Spoked wheels? That might make a small difference. A minimum of 3 through bolts would hold them in place.
The real issue is if they do come loose, they could jam your wheel, causing a fall. It doesn't seem to be a prudent way of decorating your bike. However, if you decide to try it, I am sure you will the first one on your block with something like that.

also, I just though, finding large diameter wheel covers will be hard. Most cars have smaller than 18 or 19 inch diameters, and those with the larger rims usually have aluminum wheels.
I found Hyundai 18 inch wheel covers that might be acceptable...google wheel cover 18

Oddly, they are as costly as a rim. I paid $161 for 2 aluminum rims. the wheel covers are more costly....
I suppose the has to be a market for them if people are making them.
The look very wheel specific though....Might be hard to adapt to a wheel if it wasn't designed for it.
I would hate to be cutting on $200 wheel covers...
