is it worth upgrading rear shocks

I think you can get the baseline Hagon street shocks ($200) with a clevis or an eyelet on whichever end you need. The "M" series is shown with a clevis bottom in one photo, but I think that's just a coincidence.
This is good to know as well. Budget is a concern but I guess I am a little weird and want to know that an extra week of saving wasn't all it would have took to get something better. To me $200-300 is a lot of money but if ok ones are going to run $225, good ones $280, and the best ones $500 I would probably buy the good ones.

my guess is the hagons and all of the gas bag non-rebuildabls are made in the same country if not same factory

No...Hagon took over Girling's operation. Produced in the UK.

For what it's worth, I got the Hagons with adjustable damping. Simple compared to the offroad stuff I'm used to on offroad bicycles, but work nicely.

If they ever die, I'll probably get Progressives or another rebuild-able option.

What bike did you put the Hagon shocks on?

Hagon do do a fully rebuildable and adjustable for pre load and compression/rebound damping. The Nitro is obviously a bit dearer than the standard road shocks £370 ($550)

The hagon shocks are manufactured and assembled in the UK.

I just ordered the Progressive 12 Series with HD Springs from Denniskirk.com for $209 shipped.
That sounds like a smoking deal on those. If you don't mind me asking, what made you choose the progressives?
