Hello all,
I bought a set of headers with the heat shield and clamps at Mid Ohio last week, allegedly for a CL350. Problem is, since I got them home I am not sure they are correct. A couple things looked good:
-They matched the spacing on the exhaust ports
-Heat shield looks consistent with a 68-69
-Bend/shape of the pipes are correct.
-Chrome and pipes are in pretty good shape for age.
The Bad:
-The pipes don't have the usual mounting flange at the end; they are straight and have two slits, like they clamp onto another pipe
-The clamps themselves are the pinch type, with one bolt, instead of the usual two hole that bolt to the jug. They also have more fins. They look like ones from the four models.
So, if someone could be a dear and measure their CL pipes' diameter and length for me that would be awesome... Mine measure 1.5" at the inlet and 1.25 at the outlet. The shield measures a little over 18". I can't find measurements for any bikes with google. I'm hoping I didn't get 175 or 200 pipes that are too small
Here's a picture of the heat shield if that helps, although it looks like Honda used the same shield on many different bikes. It appears to be an early shield. I already disassembled the pipes/brackets but I could reassemble them later and post a pic of the whole unit if needed.
