Mid range problems

Been Around the Block
I finally have a question for you the pros on the site - probably a very easy solution, but figured I would throw it out there.

Got my 74 cb360 road worthy and legal over the weekend and it idles and revs great on the center stand (or whenever in nuetral)
But under power it will bog down at about half throttle in all gears.

Some history - Bike has solid compression, carbs are clean and rebuilt, running air filter pods (I am fairly positive that the carbs have stock jets) new plugs, fuel filters, battery, valve clearances are in spec.

What could cause this situation - it is strange because sitting still with the clutch lever pulled in, the bike will rev all the way up and very smooth - but under power it seems to bog down.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Here is the "Texas Special" as she sits today!

It's perfectly normal for your setup- pod filters with stock jetting. I know CrazyPJ can work some voodoo magic on your carbs if you send them to him.

Jetting problems usually show up when the engine is under load as long as they are fairly close to begin with.

I'll second what Big Rich has to say. Stock CV carbs and pod filters do not get along. Stick with the stock airbox or upgrade to velocity stacks.

Thanks Guys! I have been busy reading posts today regarding these stock carbs with pod filters...
I have several stock airboxes and might fool around with them, just love the look without...

I really like doing as much of the work myself as possible, so I will try to find a solution, but I have heard that PJ does some crazy good work.
