modified norvin frame

here is our modified norvin frame. when this engine is put into a manx frame the centre of gravity is quite high. and there are always front exhaust pipe issues with the down tubes, by altering the angle of the down tubes and the engine cradle we have managed to lower the engine over 1.5" and the altered angle down tubes eliminate clearance probs with that front exhaust.
this engine will be having a bsa box behind it. and over the weekend we will be mocking it up with spondon multipiece yokes , upside downies and a pair of dymag wheels. with one of our oval swingarms.
the frame as all our frames is made from t45 tubing. we usually use 1 1/8" 17g tube. this one is 16g.
the frame less swing arm weighs in at 9.5 kg

if you are unsure of what t45 spec tube is you can read about it at this link

Good job! I like the gussets. I also like how the back end tubing/supports are smaller diameter. Looks very clean. also like the shop/jig ;D Troy
